FAQs
- Can I paint, stain or varnish my door prior to installation?
- You may, but be aware that during installation trimming may remove some of the brush work you have carried out. We also recommend leaving a final coat to after installation. Painting, staining etc. is a finish and generally finishing is done at the end of any task.
- Can I reuse my old handles, locks and hinges?
- We do not install used hardware of any sort. This is often more trouble that it is worth to both the installer and yourself. A currently operational lock may not be once removed from your current door.
- How long does it take to install my doors?
- As a guide only, give around 60-90 minutes per door. Times vary depending on various things like amounts of stairs, how out the frames are and what hardware you have purchased.
- I've got my doors. But am unsure of what hinges or handles I should buy. Can you help?
